Faculty of Agriculture was established at Kilinochchi about 100 km from the main campus in Jaffna in 1990. The present Dean, Prof.A.Navaratnarajah was appointed as the first Dean of the faculty.Faculty of Agriculture has six departments. Wide variety of courses are offered covering all decipline from plant and animal sciences to engineering and economics.
